These Terms & Conditions apply to quotations, approved works, deposits, invoices and services provided by Anthos Electrical. By accepting a quotation, approving works to commence or making payment, the client agrees to these Terms & Conditions together with any applicable quotation, scope of works or invoice.

By accepting a quotation, approving works, requesting works to commence, or making payment of an invoice or deposit, the client agrees to these Terms & Conditions and the terms outlined in the applicable quotation or invoice.
Quotations are based on the scope of works and information available at the time of quoting and are valid for the period stated on the quotation.
Unless otherwise stated, quotations are based on normal site conditions and reasonable access to the work area.
Any works, materials, equipment or services not specifically included in the quotation are excluded and may be charged as a variation or additional work.
Anthos Electrical reserves the right to revise pricing where there are significant changes in supplier pricing, material availability or the scope of works after the quotation has been issued.
Payment is due within the payment timeframe stated on the relevant invoice, calculated from the invoice date.
Where a deposit is required, works, procurement or material ordering may not commence until the required deposit has been received.
The client may not withhold or delay payment of undisputed amounts due to a dispute relating to other items on an invoice.
Credit card payments will incur a 1.75% surcharge.
Where progress payments are required, these will be outlined in the accepted quotation or scope of works. A separate invoice will be issued for each progress payment throughout the project.
Progress payments are due within the payment timeframe stated on each invoice.
Any works outside the agreed scope of works will be treated as additional works or a variation and will be charged accordingly.
Where reasonably practicable, Anthos Electrical will advise the client of any additional works and associated costs prior to commencement and obtain approval before proceeding.
Where the scope or extent of additional works cannot be reasonably determined prior to commencement, an accurate fixed price may not be possible. In such circumstances, the works may be undertaken on a time and materials basis and the final cost calculated upon completion.
Additional works may also be required where existing conditions, defective equipment, concealed services, non-compliant installations or other unforeseen circumstances are identified during the works.
Variation approvals may be provided in writing, electronically or verbally. Verbal approval constitutes authorisation for Anthos Electrical to proceed with the agreed additional works.
Unless otherwise agreed, works will be conducted during normal working hours of 7:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.
Works requested or required outside these hours may incur additional charges.
The client is responsible for providing reasonable access to the site and work areas at the agreed time. Additional attendance or costs resulting from unavailable or restricted access may be charged accordingly.
Existing electrical equipment, cabling and infrastructure may be subject to inspection and testing as part of the works.
Where existing equipment, cabling or infrastructure is found to be defective, damaged, unsuitable or non-compliant, any required repair, replacement or rectification works will be treated as additional works and charged accordingly.
Anthos Electrical is not responsible for defects or issues within existing electrical installations that are outside the agreed scope of works.
Materials and equipment supplied by Anthos Electrical will be charged in accordance with the accepted quotation or applicable pricing.
Special-order, custom-made or non-returnable materials and equipment cannot be cancelled or returned once ordered and may be charged to the client where the works are cancelled or the scope is changed.
Where the client supplies materials or equipment, Anthos Electrical is not responsible for defects, incompatibility, suitability or performance of those items. Any additional labour or costs resulting from client-supplied materials or equipment may be charged accordingly.
Anthos Electrical will make reasonable efforts to complete works within the agreed timeframe.
Delays caused by circumstances outside the reasonable control of Anthos Electrical, including supplier delays, material availability, electricity distributor or authority requirements, weather, restricted site access, other trades or unforeseen site conditions, will not be considered a delay caused by Anthos Electrical.
Where unforeseen circumstances affect the scope, cost or timeframe of the works, Anthos Electrical will advise the client where reasonably practicable and any additional works will be treated in accordance with the variations provisions of these Terms & Conditions.
If the client cancels or postpones the agreed works after acceptance, Anthos Electrical may charge for work completed, materials and equipment purchased or committed to, and any reasonable costs incurred as a result of the cancellation or postponement.
Special-order, custom-made or non-returnable materials and equipment will remain chargeable where they have already been ordered.
Where works have commenced, any outstanding costs incurred up to the date of cancellation will remain payable by the client.
Electrical works will be tested and commissioned as required upon completion of the works.
Where applicable, Anthos Electrical will provide a Certificate of Electrical Safety and other relevant certification or documentation required for the completed works.
Final certification and the Certificate of Electrical Safety will be issued following receipt of final payment in full.
Anthos Electrical provides a 12-month workmanship warranty from the date of completion of the works.
Where a defect in workmanship is identified within this period, Anthos Electrical will, where reasonably required, rectify the defective workmanship at no additional labour cost.
Manufacturer warranties will apply to materials and equipment supplied by Anthos Electrical where applicable and will be subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions.
Where materials or equipment supplied by Anthos Electrical become faulty and are replaced under a manufacturer’s warranty, labour to attend, remove and replace the faulty item will be charged at Anthos Electrical’s standard charge-out rates, unless the fault is caused by defective workmanship or the labour cost is covered by the manufacturer.
The workmanship warranty does not cover damage, misuse, alterations or repairs carried out by others, normal wear and tear, or defects arising from existing electrical installations or equipment outside the original scope of works.
Unless specifically included in the agreed scope of works, building, plastering, painting, rendering, tiling, concreting, excavation, landscaping and other non-electrical make-good works are excluded.
Where access to concealed electrical services requires cutting, removal or disturbance of building materials or surfaces, the reinstatement of those materials or surfaces is the responsibility of the client unless otherwise agreed.
Anthos Electrical will take reasonable care to minimise damage when carrying out electrical works.
Anthos Electrical reserves the right to stop or suspend works where the site, existing installation, equipment or working conditions are considered unsafe or where works cannot be carried out in accordance with applicable safety requirements.
Where works are stopped or suspended due to unsafe conditions, restricted access, defective existing installations or circumstances outside the reasonable control of Anthos Electrical, any additional attendance, labour or costs may be charged accordingly.
Anthos Electrical will notify the client of the reason for any suspension and, where reasonably practicable, provide advice on the requirements to allow works to recommence.
Overdue accounts may incur interest on the outstanding amount from the due date until payment is received, at a rate of 1.5% per month.
Where an account remains unpaid after the due date, Anthos Electrical may refer the account to a debt collection agency or other recovery service. The client will be responsible for reasonable costs incurred by Anthos Electrical in recovering overdue amounts, including applicable debt collection and legal costs.
Anthos Electrical reserves the right to suspend further works or services where an account remains overdue.
All equipment and materials supplied by Anthos Electrical remain the property of Anthos Electrical until payment for the relevant works has been received in full.
Where payment remains outstanding, Anthos Electrical reserves the right to recover or retain unpaid materials and equipment where legally permitted.
Anthos Electrical will carry out works with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with applicable requirements.
Anthos Electrical is not responsible for loss, damage, delay or additional costs arising from existing defects, concealed conditions, information supplied by the client or other parties, or circumstances outside the reasonable control of Anthos Electrical.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any rights or obligations that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Any dispute relating to the works or an invoice should be raised with Anthos Electrical as soon as reasonably practicable so that the matter can be discussed and resolved where possible.
The client remains responsible for payment of any undisputed amounts while a disputed matter is being resolved.
All payment claims issued by Anthos Electrical are made under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 2002 (Vic).
